Job Responsibilities

• Conduct in depth credit research on investment grade corporate bonds. This will include documenting research findings and presenting recommendations to firm’s Chief Investment Officer and/or Investment Strategy Group.
• Develop and maintain recommended buy list of corporate credits and recommended issues.
• Assist or lead (depending on experience) the development of Taxable fixed income portfolios.
• Source and executive corporate bond trades.
• Support research and portfolio management of fixed income ETF strategies.
• Serve as a thought leader within the Investment Strategy Group for the fixed income asset class. Work with the firm’s Chief Investment Officer to communicate views and perspective around fixed income markets.
• Participate and contribute to weekly Investment Strategy Group team meetings which discuss economic trends, markets and investment solutions.
• The research analyst position will be required to work out of either Miracle Mile’s Los Angeles, Sausalito or Chicago offices. Candidates not able to work out of one of these locations will not be considered.
• The position will report directly to Miracle Mile Advisor’s Chief Investment Officer.
• Collaborate with advisors and directly engage with clients to manage and tailor bond portfolios that align with individual client goals, risk tolerance, and investment strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• CFA charter holder or current CFA candidate required.
• At least 10 years of work experience in investment research, investment banking, or accounting.
• At least 5 years of fixed income corporate credit research experience.
• Knowledge of investment concepts, accounting conventions, bond structures and covenants, and ability to build detailed financial models.
• Experience trading investment grade bonds.
• Ability to work independently but also work within a team structure. Must be able to deliver clear and effective written and verbal communication.
• Ability to assess and interpret information and form independent views and perspective.
• Proficiency with Bloomberg and all Microsoft products required.
• Most importantly, candidate must be passionate about markets, investing, learnings about different industries and companies, and demonstrate intellectual curiosity.

Other Relevant Information

• Salary Range: $150,000 – $225,000, commensurate with experience.
